Where does decision-making get stuck?
The free Decision Check shows in 5–7 minutes whether and where decision-making gets stuck. First: what applies to you?
For the whole team, too. After the check you can send a team link to your leadership team. Once three people have taken part, a joint team result is created, without individual answers.
What applies to you?
What is changing right now?
Multiple choices possible.

What the check looks at
Five areas that most often cost speed in growing teams:
How it works
- A little contextYour own role, the roles in the team, the size of the company. All by click.
- The decision that is stuckOptional, in one sentence. No names.
- 14 statementsYou rate them from your own point of view. For some, you are also asked how others in the team would answer.
- Instant assessmentRight on screen, without an email address: your own profile, a possible pattern and questions to think about.
- Team assessmentOptional: a link to your leadership team. Once three people have taken part, a joint team result is created.
On request you also get a detailed assessment by email. I read it personally before it goes out, usually within 48 hours.
What the check can and cannot do
The check shows whether things get stuck and in which area. It rests on one perspective, that of the person filling it in. Why it gets stuck and what to do about it can only be said once several perspectives are on the table.
The check can also give the all-clear. If nothing fundamental is stuck, it says so.
Who is behind it
Dr. Michael Wellhöfer
Physicist. 20 years of experience with systems that no longer work – technical, organizational, human.
I became a scientist because one question would not let go of me: Why do things work the way they work – and why, sometimes, do they not?
That question led me from research into medical technology, and from there into organizations that are stuck. Today I work with founding teams, management teams and division heads, where structures and decision paths no longer keep pace with change: through growth, new technology or AI, an acquisition, a generational change or a restructuring.
“We were constantly talking, but nothing moved forward. He listened carefully to both sides and clarified the critical issues so precisely that we became capable of action again.”
Data and privacy
No account is needed and no names are entered, only roles. The data is stored on a server in Germany. An email address is only given if you want the detailed assessment. Details are in the privacy policy (German).
